About
Annie Born and raised in the Quebec countryside, Annie Dufresne got her first movie role at 16 years old, in the french movie Réveille ton rêve. She then moved to Montreal to pursue her acting career on a full-time basis and to study french literature. Now, after appearing on many television programs and films, and releasing two albums, she is a very well-known French-Canadian singer-actress. Annie's first record Contact was released in Canada in September 1999. Her second album Rock & Road was released in October 2002. The single S.O.S. Parano remained on the top 20 radio charts for 29 weeks, which is quite an accomplishment for an artist under her own label. Annie's love for performing really reflects when she is on stage. Her fans have come to know her through her amazing performances in which she really interacts with the crowd and gives off a lot of energy, which can be felt by her entire audience. She is a singer-songwriter and all her songs are produced and written in association with her partner Steve Scala. Their music , which is part of the Roots Rock genre, comes naturally to them as they put forth a raw, cutting edge sound that is familiar to the likes of The Rolling Stones and The White Stripes.
