About Dana

Dana Meredith is a singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA, who has been hailed as a "vocalist with a very progressive sound." The product of two musically talented parents, her father an accomplished clarinetist and her mother a big band singer, Dana displayed much innate musical ability early on. During her formative years, she honed her skills while attending San Diego's School of Creative and Performing Artsand discovered that she was destined for a career in music.

“My songs are pretty simple,” says Dana.“ The music is about being real and just telling it like it is…at least from my perspective. My hope is that people can relate to what I’m saying and feel a connection to their own lives.”

Dana’s lyrics are raw, deep, and to the point. She paints pictures with her words and you can’t help the urge to look, listen and feel the emotions swirling within the music. Her songs run the range of life’s experiences - from pleasure to pain, anger to fear, joy to sorrow. As a listener, you’re invited on the journey with Dana every step of the way.

Dana’s debut CD, produced by Dave Zeman, is aptly titled “A Life In The Day” and it is a compilation of songs that really brings the “human experience” to the surface and shows how it manifests in our day-to-day lives.
