About Diana

It is a familiar story, the country girl who goes to the big smoke to pursue a career, and more often than not, doesn't come back. This isn't the case for Diana Cormie who came back to the country to forge a path as one of the newest rising stars of Australian country music. A review by the Half A Cow record label states “Diana has a great voice, full of confidence and emotion and it sounds like she can handle the highs and lows required for 'modern' country music. You can look forward to an album full of fantastic songs by a very talented new voice in Australian music.”

Originally from Coonabarabran, in country NSW, and now living in Tamworth, Diana’s music is simply catchy. The melodies have you singing along with one listen and the words take you on a journey of her life. Her debut EP "Crooked Picture", produced by Glen Hannah, was released independently in 2003 and features four tracks. Straight from the heart, you will appreciate its authenticity.

In 2006, Diana launched a 2006 Country Music Festival Album titled “All I Know” (12 tracks) and was a finalist in the 2006 Toyota Star Maker Quest, held 22nd January at the Toyota Country Theatre, Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre (TREC). Most recently she was a finalist in the Bryan Brown Reel Deal Awards - original music category, was featured in the Telstra Country Wide Advisory Board Report and invited to open and perform at Wool Expo in Armidale. Currently singing throughout NSW at various restaurants, vineyards, hotels and private functions.

To capitalise on the achievements in the Toyota Star Maker Quest, Diana teamed up with the NSW Farmers Association and was invited to perform at major Australian field days, several country agricultural shows and various drought relief farm family gatherings. This opportunity has been a non-traditional vehicle to reach an expansive country music audience. Through extensive travel and performing, cd sales have dramatically increased for Diana.
