About Katie Despite being so young, Katie is a top actress with many years of experience. For example, Katie had principal roles in numerous television commercials, including Old Navy, Fox Kids Club, Home and Garden Network, Petsmart and Levi's. She sang with Barbra Streisand at the Clinton Presidential Gala. On stage, she performed the title role in Annie and the starring role of Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden. At age fifteen, Katie landed the title role in Frog and Wombat, a feature film that premiered on the HBO Family Channel in 1999. Her co-stars were Ronny Cox, Lindsay Wagner and Emily Lipoma. The role earned Katie a Best Actress nomination in the Young Artist Awards. She was also chosen as the Newcomer of the Year in the Temecula International Film Festival. Katie was a series regular on the national PBS show Adventures With Kanga Roddy. She was also a frequent guest on the NBC/Aaron Spelling series Titans, City Guys, 7th Heaven, and Xena. Katie played Cindy on General Hospital. She later resurfaced on the show as Sage, the brunette who moved in with her "drug lord" uncle, Lorenzo Alcazar. Also of note, Katie is a superb singer and an accomplished ballet dancer. She released her first pop album right after graduating from high school (at age 15). Katie Quisms 1. Katie is 19 years old and she gets along really well with her parents. She may not always agree with their tastes in cars or clothes, but she loves them like crazy. "It's amazing how much my Mom and Dad have sacrificed to help me live my dream of being an actor and musician," Katie says. "There's no way in the world any of the great things I've experienced would have been possible without their love and over-the-top support." 2. In the end, Katie reminds us, it's all about the music anyway, "what I look like doesn't matter a bit on record." "That's true enough, but it doesn't hurt to look hot on the album cover, now does it?" 3. "I'm gonna bring the pain to Christina and Britney, Mandy and Jessica. I'll pound those little girls as if I were Mike Tyson with PMS," Katie says while picking a bit of alligator meat from her teeth with a chain saw. "I'll bash 'em with bass, dazzle 'em with dancebeats and hammer their pretty little heads with hip hop. Then I'll steal their boyfriends, wreck their cars and shrink their glittery jeans," she coos.
