About Kristen

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kristen started modeling and acting in her early teenage years, but was determined to become an entertainment news journalist.  After majoring in Broadcast Journalism at the University of St. Thomas, she made her way from Minnesota to New York and then to Hollywood.

After modeling in print campaigns, appearing in numerous national television commercials, and starring in a few independent film projects, it was Kristen’s keen talent to identify, organize and tell a story, coupled with her on-camera good looks, that had her making the rounds as an entertainment reporter getting the story from one red carpet to another.

Bringing celebrities from the red carpet to your living room, Kristen has gotten the scoop from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars and delivers it live on camera, getting one-on-one interviews with director Oliver Stone, Jon Voight, Liza Minnelli, Samuel L. Jackson, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Jennifer Hudson, Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jared Leto, Rachel Leigh Cook, Olivia Wilde, Hank Azaria, Miss USA, Jessica Biel and musical performers AFI, Yellowcard, Lucybell, Chelo, 30 Seconds to Mars, Ray J and Alicia Keys (partial list).

As an entertainment correspondent at movie premieres, press junkets, charity events and award shows, Kristen anchors the nationally syndicated “Hollywood Previews” and “World Entertainment Connections.”  She also serves as a producer and writer, contributing the latest entertainment news for online media outlets.  

Kristen’s other television hosting duties include AMC’s “Date Night” movie review, TLC’s “Faking It,” and pilots for MTV and The Travel Channel.  She also hosts an inspirational McGraw Hill DVD that is distributed to schools across America, teaching kids how to be safe from peer pressure, something Kristen is very proud to be a part of. 

In addition to writing, producing and reporting weekly for “Hollywood Previews” and “World Entertainment Connections,” she continues as red carpet host for the Hollywood Desperado online magazine.

Kristen was recently inducted into the U.S. Registry’s “Who’s Who” of Television Hosts.  In 2007, Kristen joined the CNN family as anchor for their premiere broadband news service, “CNN Pipeline.”
