Kristin
When Kristin decided at the age of eight that she wanted to begin taking vocal lessons, her family was shocked, not because she had shown no musical ability, but because she was so painfully shy. Within a year, however, the little girl who had seldom spoken began singing solos in recitals and at church. She also sang at various community events, in competitions, and with her school's show choir, where she developed an extensive background in classical performance. Kristin was fast learning that music was her passion and her future. From then on, it was hard to get her to shut up!
Kristin is not your typical pop songstress. She is a budding singer who has also grown into a mature and versatile storyteller, one to whom people of all ages can relate. Her honest lyrics and soulful vocals are sure to stir your thoughts and melt your heart as she leads you through the ups and downs of life's most difficult obstacles.
Gaining insight through observation and personal experience, Kristin has the keen ability to skillfully address such issues as substance abuse and the troubled childhood of a friend in the songs "Fool's Gold" and "Long Way Down," and then to turn around with the in-your-face, revenge-driven "You Got the Wrong Song." Other songs hit on topics such as complacency, individuality, self-esteem, and, of course, love.
Now a senior at Belmont University, located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, Kristin has been busy working with the best in the business to develop her personal style. Currently playing various clubs, events, fairs, and festivals across the country, this is one undeniably talented and professional singer/songwriter you won't want to miss and you definitely won't forget!
