About Lauren With her first EP launched, Lauren has begun to write and record new songs in a variety of genres including rock, country, and hip-hop. She has also begun collaborating with other talented artists. Lauren is an award-winning songwriter whose music was featured in a motion picture soundtrack. Songwriter Universe has named Lauren among their top five songwriters of the month (January 2005). Lauren was also recognized as a finalist in Song of the Year's monthly contest (December 2004). In addition, Lauren brought in the New Year by performing in front of nearly 14,000 people in White Plains, NY. While singing and songwriting are Lauren's main passion, she also is involved in numerous other activities. Lauren has a background in both professional modeling and pageantry. In 2004, she won the crown and the New York State title, and placed 4th runner-up in the Nationally televised pageant. In addition, Lauren graduated with highest honors from Rutgers University in New Jersey and holds a Masters Degree in education from Long Island University in New York. She had her first book accepted for publication entitled, "How to Stay Fit on the College Meal Plan and Avoid the Freshman Fifteen."
