About Michelle

Michelle DeAngelis is a pianist/singer/songwriter/ in the style of pop/rock/jazz. She is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at SUNY PURCHASE and the Holf Barthelson Music School. Michelle has been playing classical and jazz piano since she was 4 years old.

As a soloist, Michelle has been able to perform in Europe along with Jim McElwain and Doug Monroe. She also has performed her original music on many radio, internet, and television stations in the US and Europe. Her original song entitled "With the Angels," was written for 9-11, and was featured on two documentary DVDs shown at the Yonkers and Bronx Firemans's dinner/dance. Further, Michelle was honored with a plaque and letter of excellence from the New York City Fire Commissioner.

Michelle's song entitled "Lady" was performed by artist Anthony Rodregez for the President of Turkey. Michelle has performed at many well-known clubs such as the Bitter End, CBGB'S, The Triad Theater, The Watercolor Cafe, Downtime, Tribecca Blues, Kenny's Castaways, The Neourican Cafe, The Hunter Mountain New Year's Eve Ball, The Third Avenue Chamber of COmmerce Street Fair, and many others.  Michelle's song "Edge of the World" an honorable mention in the Song Writer of the Year Contest in July 2004.

Michelle has had the opportunity to work with well known recording artists such as Veronica (Dance artist-hit with Fat Joe), Andrea Martin (Billboard Songwriter of the Year), Anthony Rodreguez (Former Madonna dancer-creator of Las Santa Luz Dance Company, Chris Toland (arranged Mariah Caryy's Vision of Love).

Michelle has written for up-and-coming artists such as Ano Okera (Rent/Dreamgirls-the National Tour), John Degrazio (Hoffman Entertainment).

Michelle has worked as a musical director and accompanist for high school and community theater. She is also an organist at the Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, NY, as well as a full-time teacher with private students across Westchester County.
