About Stephanie
To say that Stephanie Willis came from a small town would be an exaggeration. Spring Creek, the rural community in which she lived, made Mayberry seem like New York City. A far cry from Carnegie Hall, her first experiences in the spotlight originated at her small country church. Stephanie began singing in the children's choir, and moved on to sing harmony in a trio with her mother and sister, before developing into a solo artist. She recognized early on that music is in her soul.

By what she felt was Divine intervention, Stephanie met fellow Carolinian, business manager, Barry Henderson. Henderson saw talent in Stephanie and believed she had the commitment and drive to be successful in the country music industry. Henderson and Willis made several trips to Nashville, to meet with music row veteran, John Dorris of Hallmark Direction Company. Dorris and Willis had an automatic connection, and at that time it was suggested that Stephanie make the move to Music City. At the age of 22, Stephanie packed up her things and headed to Nashville. Shortly after her arrival she teamed up with Butch Baker to record her first major project.

Several projects later, Stephanie signed a writing deal with Broadvision Publishing. "Before I started writing I was a singer. Now that I get to create my own story I feel more like an artist", Willis said when asked about her publishing deal. She is currently writing for her next project in which she will be recording with her husband, accomplished studio musician, John D. Willis. Stephanie has all the makings of a star. As quoted from her last showcase, "Stephanie has the personality of Dolly Parton, the sexiness of Faith Hill, and a voice all her own" -Great company to be in!
