Valerie
Valerie says: "My name is Valerie Guerra. I was born in Southern California and live in the San Gabriel Valley. I enjoy working out, weight training, hiking, water sports, writing, and yes, karaoke singing.
My B.S. is in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to finishing my teaching credential I was recruited to teach 4th grade full-time at a public school for one year. I taught English (ELD) after school for 5 years at a private school. I now work in event marketing as a Field Manager for the Heineken brand portfolio for LA. Acting and modeling was a path I chose to pursue after stumbling upon my first acting role in an independent film titled SHADY NIGHTS, directed by Demetrius Navarro, while in graduate school at Azusa Pacific University. It was after shooting SHADY NIGHTS that I fell in love with the camera and discovered my new passion, acting and modeling. I put a hold on graduate school and immediately began studying acting at a private school in Hollywood for almost 2 years. I am trained and experienced in commercials, film and television including drama and comedy, improv, hosting, and camera technique, using a teleprompter, print modeling, foot modeling, tradeshows, and promotions.
With my ambiguous look I play various ethnic backgrounds. I am also a shoe/foot model who just so happens to have perfect size 6 feet. I am available to work W.S.A. if interested. I also produced a web series pilot titled “SPACES the series,” (copyright 2006) where I play the lead role of the surly, and jaded entertainment attorney, BIANCA. I co-wrote the series along with writer Lisa Marie Brennan, and writer/director/producer James Tucker inspired by actual, as well as fictional stories based on MySpace. I am currently SAG eligible and will work in commercials, hosting, print modeling, foot/shoe modeling, and tradeshows if booked off of my pictures, resume, and acting reel.
