About Janie

Janie has been performing and entertaining others since she was four years old. Dancing was her first passion. She started competing in talent shows and beauty pageants at a very young age. She loved being on stage. She realized in high school thatt she had a talent for public speaking. She hosted her first show at 15, and she felt very comfortable in front of a camera.

In 1997, Janie graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and began modeling and acting soon after graduating. While maintaining a successful career in the telecommunications industry, thoughts of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry were always in the back of her mind. In 1997, Janie happened to be at the right place at the right time and and was asked to be the lead in a music video. One video led to another, and shortly after Janie signed with a talent agency named Condra Artista. She started booking commercials and print work, and in 2000, she landed the role of Miss New Mexico in the movie "Miss Congeniality" featuring Sandra Bullock. After shooting the movie, Janie decided to move to Los Angeles.

In 2001, Janie moved to L.A. to pursue a career as an entertainment reporter/host. She knew that the odds were against her and she was taking a big risk, but she didn't let that stop her from trying. Janie got her big break in May 2003, when she was chosen to host a live one hour entertainment show called "Off the Roof" on the MUN2 network. Since then, other opportunities have opened up for Janie and she feels like her career is finally starting to take off. All of Janie's efforts and sacrifices are starting to pay off and she plans on staying focused. Janie has big aspirations and ambitions. She says,"I realize now that if you want something bad enough and are willing to work hard for it, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!"
