About Judi

Actress Judi Beecher is a sexy magical blend of strength and vulnerability with a splash of quirkiness. Judi began her career at the age of three. She produced, directed and starred in basement productions with a cast of cousins and an audience of relatives. At 10 she formed the Beecher Sisters, a singing group with her sister Andrea. They performed at birthday parties in her home town of Great Neck, Long Island.

She has modeled in France, Italy and New York. She sang in the south of France next to the Gypsy Kings, and appeared in Cologne and Barcelona as a chanteuse. Judi has lived around the world and speaks French and Italian fluently and Spanish conversationally.

Her first professional acting job in America was with Woody Allen in Coop Italia, a string of TV commercials for the Italian market.

She has performed in more than eleven Off-Broadway original theater productions and has co-starred in a movie for Showtime, acted in numerous independent films, and had recurring roles on the Bold and the Beautiful and As the World Turns. She has co-starred on Jag, The Shield, and Once and Again. She produced, directed and starred in The Gourmet Dinner, a festival short, which screened at the No Dance Film Festival at Sundance last year.

In 2004, Judi spent half the year in New York, working 1 1/2 months on the remake of The Stepford Wives (directed by Frank Oz) as a "Stepford wife." Her impressive resume also includes lead roles in an independent feature, starring roles in two short films, a guest star role on Law and Order (episode "Patient Zero"), and a role as the girl talking about life in a "Domain" commercial. Judi showed her wide range of voices and overall versatility when she performed the voices of eleven characters in the animated feature Humphrey, played a 90-year old woman in a sex radio talk show, and was the lead of three staged readings.

Her New York training includes acting masters as Uta Hagen, Bill Hickey, Bobby Lewis, Elaine Strich, (Master class), Stella Adler Conservatory and Kathryn Gately: 2yr Meisner program. In Los Angeles. She studied with Larry Moss and Gordon Hunt.

On a personal note, Judi loves travel, ballroom and Latin dancing, the ocean, nature, animals and spirituality. She studies yoga and has coached at the Flash Forward Institute teaching career development for the entertainment industry. Judi's special skills include professional night club singing (mezzo soprano). Her dialects include french, Italian, Russian, Proper English, Southern, and Long Islandese. Judi also enjoys ballroom dancing, parasailing, Horseback riding, biking, boxing, instructing aerobics, ecstatic dance, and modeling.
