About Kristia

Kristia spent her childhood growing up in Cary, a small town outside Raleigh. “I had a wonderful childhood, with the normal adolescent pains of growing up,” states Kristia. Kristia stood almost 5’11” by high school age. “Early on in life, I hated being tall and lean. I was ridiculed in grade school. I related to every aspect of the ugly ducking story. Now I am so thankful to God!”

During high school, Kristia used her height and excelled in many athletic pursuits before choosing tennis as her primary sport. At age 16, a local modeling scout who noticed her great height and stunning features, asked Kristia to join a talent agency. With her sinewy frame and fashionable face, Kristia headed down the runway, modeling for major designers locally and nationally.

After high school, Kristia continued her education at NC State University and pursued her Masters degree in Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina. For five years, Kristia put her modeling career on hold while she finished her studies.

Searching for sunnier skies and warmer weather landed Kristia in her current home, Florida. Having settled in the Land of Sun, Kristia began modeling and competing in sports once again. Since her fitness debut in 1999, Kristia has been a top national competitor in obstacle course racing. She placed top six and 1st in team obstacle at the Women's Tri-Fitness World Challenge in 2001. Kristia has placed no lower than 10th since her first competition 3 years ago. Being a versatile athlete, she recently switched gears to compete in adventure racing, triathlons, and marathons. Her coed team recently placed 2nd in X-treme Gears sprint racing series in Florida. She is quickly rising the ranks in sprint triathlons by placing 3rd in her age group.

Kristia’s versatility makes her highly marketable. She is fast becoming one of the country's foremost fitness models and women's fitness professionals. Kristia has appeared on the covers national fitness magazines to include: Muscle and Fitness, Oxygen, Physical, Hers , Runner's World, Energy and Muscle Media. She has been spotlighted on numerous television programs, newspapers, and commercials, as well as a spokesperson for national ad campaigns.
