About Sara Sara is originally from Chicago, IL and now lives minutes outside New York City. She began dancing as a child and has years of experience in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. As a young student, Sara trained at the Nashville Ballet School in Nashville, TN and the Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago, IL. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and graduated with a double major in Education and Speech Communications. While at the university, Sara was the coach and captain of the Fighting Illini Dance Team which captured the National Title at the 2000 UDA National Dance Competition. As a choreographer, Sara spent six years working as a Head Instructor for the Universal Dance Association and, in that role, worked with hundreds of college and high school dance teams across the country. After leaving UDA, Sara has continued to work as an independent choreographer and regularly works with many nationally-ranked dance teams. Since moving to New York City last year, Sara has studied at the Broadway Dance Center and danced for the New Jersey Nets Dance Team - "Power 'n Motion." She spent the past year dancing with the New Jersey Nets National Basketball Association Dance Team - "Power n' Motion." Currently, she can be seen performing in Manhattan with the Push Factor Dance Company. Sara choreographs numerous competition routines each year for college, high school and junior high school teams. She has received national recognition for her choreography. Sara also teaches students at several dance studios throughout the New York metropolitan area. When she's not dancing, Sara enjoys teaching aerobics and working as a fitness trainer.
